There was a lot to be thankful for Thursday night as gospel veteran Earnest Pugh celebrated the release of his new video “Survive,” and his Special Event Emmy Award with praise, tasty bites, and lots of gratitude at the Buffalo Soldiers Museum.
Hosted by Erica Simon of ABC13, the party kicked off with a meet and greet and was later followed by a red carpet hosted by KB and Amber Shaw with several supporters discussing how happy they are to see Pugh’s continued success.

During the party, Pugh was excited to talk about his experience participating in the 34th Annual Black Music and the Civil Rights Movement Concert: A Tribute to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the program in which he won an Emmy for. He also honored and talked about the many accolades of the musical’s producer, Dr. Curtis King, who is also the founder of The Black Academy of Arts & Letters in Dallas.
And of course we can’t forget about the music! Recording artists like Cheryl Fortune, Kiland L. Kyham, Gene Moore and Alexis Spite blessed guests while singing soulful melodies to God.
Congrats to Pugh and Dr. King on their much deserved success! We wish them the best in their future endeavors.
All smiles with KB, Cheryl Fortune and Amber Shaw
