PEARLAND, Texas (Press Release) — During MLK weekend, one of Houston’s favorite soul food bistros, The Greasy Spoon, celebrated owner Max Bozeman II’s 38th birthday and the highly anticipated grand opening of TGS’s new Pearland location.

For months, the question from Houstonians has been, “When will the Pearland location open?” Bozeman answered that question in a major way this past weekend with a lavish grand opening experience to welcome all of the Pearland community.

Kicking off the grand opening weekend, The Greasy Spoon hosted a private media/influencer event Friday night for all of the local media outlets to get the first look at the new vibe being brought to Pearland. Attendees were welcomed with good vibes and sounds from the host of the weekend, Musician Phil Wade, and SOULful Live Music provided by local artists Aja Domonique and Shawn Sounds. Guests at the private event were also able to sample some customer favorites, such as Boudin Eggrolls, Cajun Fried Shrimp, Louisiana-Style Gumbeaux, the Ultimate Mac & Cheese, and Southern Style Greens.

Saturday the 15th stood as the official grand opening to the public and also Bozeman’s 38th birthday. Guests lined the outside perimeter of the restaurant anticipating the 11 a.m. opening. The city of Pearland showed up in large crowds to celebrate and show their support for the new location, congratulating Bozeman on opening his third Greasy Spoon location.
