ATLANTA — Historically black college bands near and far shut down the city of Atlanta as they came to showcase their talent for this year’s Honda Battle of the Bands competition!
In an effort to celebrate and recognize the excellence and success of HBCUs, Honda annually awards close to $200,000 in grants for participating bands.
Groups that were voted to participate this go-round included Prairie View A&M University, Alabama State University, Alabama A&M University, Tennessee State University, Hampton University, Bethune-Cookman University, North Carolina A&T State University, and Miles College. The R&B group 112 also gave an energy-filled performance as they had the audience singing hits Peaches and Cream and Cupid.
And while we think everyone did their thing and represented very well, you can be the judge!
