Are you tuning in for the State of the Union address Tuesday? Well, whatever you decide to do, you may want to turn the channel to BET to hear Representative Maxine Waters deliver remarks on Angela Rye’s State of the Union afterwards!
If you know anything about this woman, you know that she does not plan to hold back.
Queen Maxine has been extremely vocal when it comes to her support and favor of Trump’s potential impeachment. She has also gone viral for her unapologetic speeches, and has people all over the country chanting “Reclaiming my time” and “Impeach 45.”
Amid Trump’s “sh*thole” comments on Haiti and African countries, Waters expressed disapproval for what was said in a statement:
Donald Trump is a racist and indecent man with no good values who is woefully unfit and undeserving of the office in which he serves. That this president, a deeply flawed human being with no understanding of public policy, would make such ill-informed and deplorable comments about Haitians, Salvadorans, and immigrants from African countries, merely underscores everything we already know about him: he is a hopeless and ignorant bigot.
According to the Huffington Post, Waters’ speech is not part of the Democratic Party’s official response to the president, which will be delivered by Rep. Joseph Kennedy III (D-Mass.).
